Hello, it's me again. Realistically I don't know what to exactly write about, yet again, so I guess I'll write about my classes first and foremost, then slowly transition into media consumption. I officially started my second week and it's surprisingly going much better than I ever expected, and the reason why I'm saying that is because I enjoyed it. Yeah, I'm actually excited about school, who knew. Not much really has happened though, I have a test today and tomorrow, one in Economics, which is the one today, and one in my Accounting class which is tomorrow, I don't exactly know what's in check for the blog anymore because I've been so stressed about the last few weeks, I'm not sure what I've mentioned and what I haven't so I'm genuinely everywhere right now so if I sound inconsistent or anything that's why, I did get up less than an hour ago and I'm standing out in the cold waiting for my bus, which! It's been a while, sorry about that. I was gonna write a blog post yesterday but I ultimately ended up forgetting too but some cool stuff happened so there's that! What's first, well, I'm happy to say I'm now the new proud owner of the World Of Wong Kar-Wai Blu-ray set! I was gonna wait until June to get it but since I had the money and I felt incredibly impatient I decided to jump the gun now and get it, I'm very glad I did because it's truly a great set. I was set to get it today but unfortunately Jeff Bezos had to send his little goblin minions out later than planned and now it's set for tomorrow. May God release fury against him and the ones he loves, but I'm glad I'm getting it regardless because it's an amazing set and having it in my hands would be incredible. It's been a long time, or so it feels but unfortunately, not much has been happening in Ruby's world, in terms of media conception though, oh boy. I have gotten into Wong Kar-Wai over the last week. His style of directing is amazing. In terms of visuals he excels incredible over any other director I have watched. A perfect example of this is his film Fallen Angels , which is exactly everything I look for in a film. The story is absolutely enticing, luring you in every single second with a high level of energy and suspense as what will happen next, you really care for everyone in the film, and what they're doing and why they're doing said thing. You really don't get that with many movies, and the only ones you do are the ones that are written incredibly well, which is already a huge plus right off the bat, and then you get the visuals. It's been a while since I've done a post like this so if everything seems awkward that's my fault, I need to do this more but I have decided I'm gonna use this time to talk about something I've noticed. Well it's a few things, but most notably negativity. It thrives so often it's slowly becoming a part of people's daily life, mine included. I noticed it immediately when I was going through k-pop fan tweets and was suddenly reminded of the low morals of some of the people who are anti-fans of some groups, most notably LOONA, and I genuinely felt awful after reading some things and I don't want any part in it. Now it doesn't stop ther, obviously, with the advent of music fanbases. Something interesting happened yesterday, not really but that's a good opening sentence to catch someone's attention. I started to read Uzumaki by Junji Ito and, to be honest, it's possibly some of the best media I have ever read. Presumably I don't really read much, even though I'm a writer. Junji Ito's art style has always been visually appealing to me for some reason, the way he draws the characters and the area surrounding them is always fascinating to look at, on top of a thrilling and exciting story (in terms of Uzumaki , that is), it ties it all together to be a really great read in general, and I'm pretty excited to finish it today. I've only read 12 chapters out of the 20 published, so I'm gonna do a little speed reading later this morning.
