God, it's been a LONG time hasn't it, I'm really sorry. I would make up some type of excuse and say "Oh, I'm really busy!" or something like that but genuinely let's face it, that's not the case, I'm just really lazy to write a long form post like I usually would do, now with that being said let's talk about a few things! Monday I went to the park, and I swung, which I love to do, I don't do it much unfortunately and I wish I did it a lot more often but I never feel determined too, I listened to a lot of Sematary during this and it was fun, everytime I swing I get a ton of ideas flowing and it helps me with a clear mental state which helps me a lot with my creativity, and this time wasn't any different. After I was done I kind of, might've, maybe vomited. Usually after I'm done swinging I feel pretty bad and out of breath (I don't get a lot of exercise) but this time I figured out why, everytime I feel that, it was me trying to vomit, and after I got it out of my system I felt great! Felt like I could do it for like 30 hours more! Swinging is really great, I love doing it. I'm sorry if the pacing of this is absolutely garbage it's been nearly a month since I wrote a post like this, I kinda forgot how to write one but I'm 100% with time I'll get better, and since school is starting I'll actually have stuff to talk about. I'm semi-nervous about school, on one hand I know I'll do good because I'll have the classes I want to have and it being my final year of high school, but on the other, I'm scared, the reason why is very convoluted but if you're aware, you'll know why. If you don't know, it's a really long situation that involves a lot of false things thrown my way but that's negative, I need this to be positive. I finally received that Wong Kar-Wai boxset I mentioned in the last blog post and my god it's absolutely stunning. The packaging is amazing and the inclusions are just as great, it comes with a great little book filled with pictures, writings, and specs about the movies included, which would be As Tears Go By, Days Of Being Wild, Chungking Express, Fallen Angels, Happy Together, In The Mood For Love, and 2046, as well as the inclusion of his The Hand short film! All of these are immaculate in one way or another, and I'm so happy to have these in my collection, I can just spend so much time talking about them, and you know what, I can! This is my blog, I can do whatever I want. He's so great at visuals, his films catch your eye in the best way possible, the colors, the framing, and the feel, it's all amazing, even his stories are amazing. I can go on but my mind is so tired and I genuinely don't know how to word what I want. I've noticed I used the excuse "my brain is tired / fried" a lot and it's actually just because I can't think of what to say, like, it's obvious I enjoy this stuff and can talk about them all day long but when I have to type it out in a form like this, it's a little tiring honestly, and I just simply can't do it when my brain is focusing on everything else. What else, hm.... Oh, yeah, Takashi Miike. If you're not aware, Miike is a Japanese director whose done the works of Audition, and The Happiness of The Katakuris, two films I've talked about in the past on the blog, and I've been watching more of his stuff, and I gotta say, he's an amazing director. I watched the first One Missed Call movie after picking up the One Missed Call Trilogy Arrow Video released a few years back I believe, and it's an amazing watch. There's a lot of good ideas being thrown around and it's just a fun watch. I managed to watch his 2001 film Visitor Q and it's just, absolute filth, but I love it. The film's synopsis is too disgusting for me to write out here so if you're genuinely curious, look it up and be disgusted on your own, it's worth it. I remember after the first scene I just felt absolutely miserable and those films are the BEST type of films. I really recommend it if you wanna feel horrible because it's such a great film. Takashi Miike's work output is kind of incredible, and I mention because he's made over 100 feature length movies, that's insane to me, there's so much to watch and I figured I watch a few too. Those titles being Ichi The Killer, Dead Or Alive trilogy, Andromedia, Imprint, and Gozu, he's also such a diverse film maker, he has incredible range in genres, he's even made a children's film if you can believe it (The Great Yokai War, I believe that's what it's called). It's obvious he's an important film maker, and his span is absolutely wonderful so far and I can't wait to dig through it. There's so much to go through since it's been too long media wise, I planned on watching every Godzilla film to pass the time but I felt bad forcing myself to watch movie after movie so I decided not to, but fear not! I only have 12 movies left, out of 32. I genuinely never thought I'd get that far in general so I feel extremely confident I'm going to finish, I can't just leave my little result of the H-bomb alone like that, he needs love and attention and I'm 100% on board with giving him it, I love this franchise a lot. It's clear I do, I even plan on getting Godzilla in Japanese on my upper arm, Gojira, or ゴジラ. I would love that, and it's a detailed logo too like with little cracks in the logo, I would provide a picture but I don't have it on me at the current moment. The next film I have is Godzilla vs. SpaceGodzilla and I'm so excited, it's Godzilla, but in space, how cool is that? Sounds amazing to me. I seriously need to pick up on that again soon and I might after I'm done with my current fixation, what is that you might ask? Well, I'll give you a few obvious hints. One, he's cool, probably the coolest of them all, even cooler than his important rival I'll say. Two, He's blue... and... fast. Yeah, if you couldn't tell I am on a huge Sonic kick right now, I genuinely don't know why and I'm gonna be honest I don't care why, I'm just so excited and happy about this hedgehog, and what's great is that there's literally mountains of content for me to dig through, and I'm so happy about that. I genuinely love Sonic, I don't know why, but he just always stuck out to me as a character I really love. I mean, I saw both Sonic The Hedgehog movies in theaters and you bet I'm going to the third one. Seeing that blue hedgehog gets me so exited, it feels really at peace. The same thing goes for Godzilla too, I love both of them equally. Both had great games on the Dreamcast, so it makes you really think. I recently downloaded both the Archie comics and IDW comics and after reading about one of the authors and illustrators for the old Archie comics, I don't know if I wanna read that one, and I'm sure you know who I'm talked about. If you're not aware, but are in the know about the authors, I'll give you one word, Knuckles. I genuinely wanna start reading the IDW Comics though, they look great and I've heard they have wonderful reception, so I'll definitely look into that when I can. I also stayed playing Sonic Adventure 2 and it's really fun so far, and I also beat Sonic 3 & Knuckles. Stuff like that gets me excited, I really enjoy the thrill of Sonic's existence. You know how I sneak Godzilla into every blog post somehow? Even my LOONA Line Distribution post? Yeah, well that's gonna happen with Sonic too, be ready. Speaking of LOONA, and K-Pop in general, I'm kind of done with it. There's still great groups don't get me wrong, LOONA, Itzy, Rocket Punch, Red Velvet and Aespa are all wonderful but I don't really listen to anything but that, and the fans are, questionable to say the least, not really my type of people. I will, however, keep up with LOONA, as they're my favorite group, and I love watching their stuff. I also finished GTA V's story mode for a second time and it's a really fun game, unfortunately not much there to mention in general. What else, oh so you know how I mentioned I brought the One Missed Call Trilogy Blu-ray? I was thinking of doing a blog post detailing the amount of Asian films I have, I think it'd be really fun detailing the posts, and for sure I'm thinking about getting more before the month ends, so it might come in 2 weeks, maybe even less, I'm not sure. I want to say sorry again for the huge lack of posts, I love this blog and feel really passionate about it as I did when I started, I just don't know what to write when nothing really has happened, I know I say that then write a really long post about media but it's just true, I don't really feel the push to write about that stuff until I make a blog post which I do when a lot of stuff happens I wanna write down. I'm forever dedicated to this blog, and I'll never abandon it, that's a promise. Blogs are important to internet society I believe, and are fun in general, and this blog just lets me write about stuff I really like and enjoy and just let's me be positive about stuff and a place for me to voice whatever and I think that's really beautiful. I love blogging, it's the best thing possibly to do on the internet, though I fear I'll get too busy to not write much one day but I know after a while a blog post like this happens. I feel really invigorated writing this post, I feel positive and happy, just typing away and I have a big ol' grin on my face. With school starting and having the classes I really want and writing this blog, I feel like I'm getting my life together, it feels great. I really enjoy this, and it put me in a good mood, I have nothing else to say but I really hope you all have a wonderful day. I'll catch you in the next post, whenever that may be.
